Cowichan Tribes and its economic development subsidiary, Khowutzun Development Corporation(KDC), are multi-million dollar organizations with combined revenues of over $60 million (2004). Cowichan Tribes generates about 34% of its revenue directly, through a combination of taxation, property taxes, licenses, and economic development. The federal and provincial governments provide some funding for various Member Services.
