One way we generate our own sole-source revenue is through leasing of some of our land holdings.  We lease a portion of our Reserve land to private interests (non-Cowichan).  If the land is owned by Cowichan Tribes, 100% of the lease revenue accrues to the Band.  If the land is owned by Certificate of Possession (CP) holders, xx% is paid to the Band Office to administer the leases and the remainder goes to the CP holders.
