KWUN'ATSUSTUL COUNSELLING
Kwun’atsustul Counselling provides support to
members during difficult times. Counsellors are
available to deal with immediate crises or provide regular, ongoing
support.
Work undertaken by the Counselling team includes:

Individual Counselling - For adults, children and families to
deal one on one with issues such as personal/family
relationships, grief, trauma, sexual abuse, violence, anger,
separation, loss, parenting, adoption, and depression.
Play and art therapy for children.

Native Sobriety Support Groups – For members who are
on the road to recovery from alcohol addiction and those wishing to
remain clean and sober.

Residential School Support Group – Provide
supportfor survivors of residential schools who are on
the road to healing.

Healing in Relationships – For women who are in or
have experienced abusive relationships.

Family Violence Intervention – For men who have
abused an intimate partner and/or family members.

Parenting Teens Support Group – Twelve-week program
providing information and support to parents of teens.

Community Outreach – Visits to informal gatherings
to share coping skills and program information. Host a
once monthly luncheon for members to interact with each other and
health care providers.
